Here are some VERY brief descriptions of each episode. Click on a link to view the episode's script. These are in chronological order.


Red Dwarf I:

The End: Lister finds himself 3 million and 28 years old, in deep space all alone, except with Rimmer, Holly & the Cat.

Future Echoes: As the crew travel at above light speed, they see future echoes, images of things & events which are yet to come.

Balance Of Power: Rimmer is relishing the fact as he is the highest ranking officer on the ship, but Lister tries to pass a Chef's exam giving himself a higher ranking than Rimmer.

Waiting For God: The Cat tells Lister about his background and the religion of the Cat people and their god, Cloister The Stupid.

Confidence and Paranoia: Lister has contracted a strain of pneumonia, which his Confidence & Paranoia come alive.

MeČ: Rimmer has created a copy of himself, and life is now hell for poor Lister.

Red Dwarf II:

Kryten: The Red Dwarf crew discover Kryten, the service android of the Nova 5.

Better Than Life: The crew enter an artificial reality game called Better Than Life, where everyone's dreams come true.

Thanks For The Memory: Its Rimmer's deathday, and the crew go to celebrate and Rimmer remembers the good times in his life.

Stasis Leak: They discover a stasis leak or a 'magic door' which takes them into their past, 3 million years ago on Red Dwarf.

Queeg: The crew find that Queeg, Red Dwarf's back-up computer, is more capable than Holly.

Parallel Universe: The faulty Holly Hop Drive take the crew into a parallel universe where the position of the sexes has been reversed.

Red Dwarf III:

Backwards: The crew find themselves in a universe where time itself & everything else travels or rather is backwards.

Marooned: As Red Dwarf is travelling toward 5 black holes, the crew abandon ship aboard Starbug.

Polymorph: Red Dwarf is invaded by a polymorph, a mutant which can alter its shape into that of anything.

Body Swap: Rimmer swaps bodies with a reluctant Lister, and ends up wanting to keep it.

Timeslides: The crew change their past by walking into photographs which have been mutated by developing fluid over the last 3 million years.

The Last Day: Hudzen comes to Red Dwarf because Kryten's service contract has expired, but Kryten isn't willing to give up with out a fight.

Red Dwarf IV:

Camille: The Red Dwarf Crew rescue Camille, a pleasure GELF - a Genetically Engineered Life form who is seen by everyone as their objet of their desire.

DNA: The crew discover a machine that can change one living thing into another living thing by rearranging it molecular structure.

Justice: The crew enter a Justice World where Rimmer is found guilty of the murder of the entire Red Dwarf Crew, all 1,167 of them.

White Hole: Lister plays pool with missiles & planets to plug up a White Hole, which spews out time & matter causing chaos on Red Dwarf.

Dimension Jump: The Red Dwarf Crew meet Ace Rimmer who is our Rimmer's counterpart but from a parallel universe.

Meltdown: The Red Dwarf crew travel to a planet travel to Wax World - a Wax-Droid Theme Park where the droids have broken their programming.

Red Dwarf V:

Holoship: Rimmer is teleported in to a holoship, a hologrammatic ship inaccessible to the dead but a godsend to the dead.

The Inquisitor: The crew encounter the Inquisitor, a self repairing simulant who has lived forever and has decided the only point in life is to make something of your self.

Terrorform: The crew search for Rimmer on a Psy-Moon, which has taken the shape of Rimmer's subconscious mind.

Quarantine: A holovirus strikes Rimmer causing him to go mad.

Demons and Angels: The crew using a invention created by Kryten, accidentally make two copies of Red Dwarf, a 'high' one and a 'low' one.

Back to Reality: The crew find that for the last 4 years, they have been playing 'Red Dwarf - the Total Immersion Video Game'.

Red Dwarf VI:

Psirens: The Red Dwarf Crew travel through an asteroid belt and encounter Psirens, GELFS which lure unwary travellers to them and suck their brains out through straws.

Legion: The crew are welcomed into a space station by Legion, a gestalt being who lives off the essences of others.

Gunmen Of The Apocalypse: The crew enter an Artificial reality Western game where they have to fight the Apocalypse Boys who in real life is the Apocalypse virus no crippling Starbug.

Emohawk - Polymorph II: The crew crash land on a GELF moon, and decide to trade with the Kinitawowi GELF tribe to acquire an oxy-generation unit  needed for them to leave.

Rimmerworld: Lister, Kryten & Cat look for Rimmer and discover a world entirely made of Rimmer's genetic clones.

Out Of Time: The crew encounter themselves only the visitors are from the future and are simply travelling through time finding out what mankind has to offer.

Red Dwarf VII:

Tikka to Ride: The crew travel back in time to Dallas in 1963, to get some curry for Lister, but inadvertently prevent the death of JFK & changing the course of history.

Stoke Me A Clipper: An Ace Rimmer visits the Red Dwarf crew, and as his dying wish asks our Rimmer to become the next Ace, someone the universe to look up to.

Ouroboros: The crew encounter their counterparts along with Kochanski from a parallel universe.

Duct Soup: As Starbug is heading towards a sun & all the generators in the ship are down, the crew crawl through Starbug's service ducts to try & reach the cockpit.

Blue: Lister seeks psychiatric help from Kryten because he is missing Rimmer.

Beyond A Joke: A rogue simulant kidnaps Kryten & tells him all 4000 series mechanoids were created to be pompous & stupid looking.

Epideme: Lister contracts the Epideme virus, one which was created as a rival to the nicotine patch but actually also deprives the body of the need for blood & oxygen.

Nanarchy: The crew find Red Dwarf, in Lister's laundry basket, made microscopic by Nanobots, which are capable of breaking anything down, rearranging its atoms & turning it into something else.

Red Dwarf VIII:

Back In The Red - Part 1: The crew are back on Red Dwarf along with the newly resurrected crew members, including Rimmer.

Back In The Red - Part 2: Lister, Kryten, Kochanski & Cat attempt to escape from Red Dwarf  not knowing it is all a dream as they are being investigated by the Red Dwarf Crew.

Back In The Red - Part 3:  The group find out the have been in AR, and attempt to escape again with Rimmer this time, but once again it has all been a simulation.

Cassandra: In the Tank, Lister has signed himself & his four colleagues into the Canaries thinking it is a singing group, but is really a combat team sent into potentially dangerous situations.

Krytie TV: A reprogrammed Kryten brings live coverage of 'Women's Shower Night' to replace the nightly movie.

Pete - Part 1: Kryten, Kochanski & the Cat discover a time wand, which can digitise time & manipulate it in all sorts of ways.

Pete - Part 2: The group accidentally turn a sparrow into a dinosaur using the time wand.

Only The Good: Red Dwarf is being destroyed by a chameleonic microbe. After the high ranking officers abandon ship, leaving the rest, Lister, Kryten, Rimmer, Kochanski & Cat try to escape by entering a mirror universe.
